| Hokulea Voyage Japanese Language Weblog Provided by Aloha Street |
HONOLULU, HI (January, 2007) - Aloha Street shows its support of the 2007 voyage of Hokulea to Micronesia and Japan - "A Celebration of Pacific Voyaging Cultures, and Island" - by providing a Japanese language version of the Polynesian Voyaging Society’s (PVS) 2007 Voyages Weblog online at hokulea.aloha-street.com. The Web log launched Jan. 12.

The 2007 Hokulea voyage honors Hawaii's historical ties to Micronesia and Japan, while also expanding the Polynesian Voyaging Society’s vision of global kinship, a goal in line with Aloha Street’s parent company, Wincubic, Inc.
The Japanese version of the Weblog provides access to the PVS Voyages Weblog of reports and photos, questions and comments, and reader’s space and teachers’s pace for sharing knowledge, experiences and ideas.
Aloha Street, brainchild of the multi-media corporation Wincubic, began in 1999 and is spearheading some of Hawaii’s most modern Japanese travel marketing with a Web site called aloha-street.com and a free Japanese language publication called Aloha Street magazine. The company’s innovative "media-mix" informs the Japanese visitor pre, during, and post visit to Hawai'i.
Aloha Street magazine is a quarterly publication with an annual circulation of 500,000 and is distributed in over 100 locations on Oahu including street racks, hotels, shopping centers, and tourist trolleys. The Hawai'i destination Web site aloha-street.com garners over 3.0 million page views per month.
